Terms of service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of https://ourreception.com and related services ("Service") operated by SIA ProductLab ("we", "us").

By creating a host account, joining an event, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy at https://ourreception.com/privacy. If you disagree, do not use the Service.

Hosts must be legally able to enter a binding contract in their jurisdiction. You are responsible for safeguarding login credentials and for all activity under your account.

Guests are not required to create an account unless we introduce that option; guests must comply with host instructions and these Terms while using event features.

We provide browser-based tools—such as live reception trivia, related leaderboards, and other event features we may add—for hosts to run interactive experiences. Features and limits may change; we will use reasonable efforts to avoid disruptive changes without notice.

You retain rights in content you submit (questions, media, guestbook posts, etc.). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, reproduce, adapt, transmit, display, and distribute that content solely to operate, secure, promote (where you opt in), and improve the Service for your event.

You represent that you have the necessary rights to your content and that it does not violate law or third-party rights. Hosts are solely responsible for obtaining consent from guests for photos, personal trivia, or other sensitive material they publish.

You will not misuse the Service, including by attempting to probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities; interfere with other users; upload malware; harvest data without permission; harass others; or use the Service for unlawful discrimination or hate speech.

Certain guest caps or add-ons may require payment through Stripe or another processor we designate. Prices, taxes, and currency are shown at checkout. By completing a purchase you authorise us and Stripe to charge the payment method you provide.

Unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise, fees for digital services that have been delivered are generally non-refundable. Billing disputes should first be raised via the contact details on your receipt or privacy@ourreception.com.

We may change prices for new purchases; existing prepaid entitlements remain according to what you bought, unless we notify you otherwise as required by law.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement to the fullest extent permitted by law. Venue networks, guest devices, and third-party platforms are outside our control.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, goodwill, data, or other intangible losses.

Our aggregate liability arising from the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim or (b) one hundred euros (€100), except where liability cannot be limited under mandatory law (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or willful misconduct).

Hosts will defend and indemnify us against claims, damages, or expenses arising from host-provided content, misuse of guest links, or violation of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our material breach.

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, or if required by law. You may stop using the Service at any time; statutory rights (such as withdrawal rights for consumers where applicable) remain unaffected.

We may update these Terms by posting a new version on https://ourreception.com/terms with an updated date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted.

Unless mandatory consumer protections in your country require otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in the Republic of Latvia have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, subject to any non-waivable rights you may have as a consumer to sue in your home courts.
